
Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Pangnyu Phom on Friday received medical equipment and consumables worth Rs. 50 Lakh donated by EKAM for district hospital Noklak at his office chamber in the Nagaland civil secretariat, Kohima.
According to a DIPR report, the minister also received an ambulance equipped with latest medical technology, donated by Santhi medical information center on behalf of the department. The ambulance would act as a mobile medical unit for Noklak.
Addressing the programme, Pangnyu thanked EKAM and Santhi medical information center for their contribution towards the people of Nagaland in particular and Noklak in general.
He also acknowledged joint secretary home, Reny Wilfred for taking the effort in connecting the NGOs with the state.
Others who spoke at the programme included advisor printing & stationary, H Haiying, advisor economics & statistics, L Khumo, DC Noklak, joint secretary home and representatives from medical department and the NGOs.
