National Newborn Week 2023 was observed on November 16 at the Conference Hall of District Hospital Tuensang (DHT) under the theme, “Nurturing Newborn Lives through Community Facility Engagement.” According to a DIPR report, the focus of the week-long event was to emphasise the crucial role of community engagement in ensuring the well-being of newborns.
The exchange of knowledge and experiences between medical experts, healthcare workers, and community representatives aimed to strengthen collaborative efforts in providing quality care for newborns.
The event saw active participation from various healthcare professionals, including the Medical Officer and Nurses from District Hospital Tuensang, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), DCM, ASHAs and others.
