The Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Blood Bank of Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK), organized a Blood Donation Camp on May 16 at Chieswama village, Kohima.
The camp saw enthusiastic participation, with 80 troops and 5 civilians voluntarily coming forward to donate blood. The event served as a powerful testament to the shared commitment of security personnel and local residents toward supporting public health and saving lives.
A team of experienced healthcare professionals from Assam Rifles, alongside five doctors from Naga Hospital Kohima, ensured that all donors were well cared for throughout the process. Their efforts contributed to a smooth, safe, and efficient blood donation experience.
This collaborative initiative made a significant contribution to replenishing critical blood reserves, bolstering preparedness for medical emergencies, surgeries, and other life-saving interventions. The event also aimed to foster awareness about the importance of voluntary, unpaid blood donation and its vital role in sustaining healthcare systems.
